Underground works are now underway to deliver the Blue Care Sunrise Beach aged care facility.

Two grass trees salvaged from the Blue Care Sunrise Beach aged care development site have found a new home in the grounds of neighbouring property Sunshine Beach State High School.

When Blue Care finishes construction of its Sunrise Beach aged care and retirement living precinct, hundreds of older Australians and their families won’t be the only ones to benefit; the not-for-profit provider is also giving back to the land’s Traditional Owners by offering First Nations employment and training opportunities.

Construction of Noosa’s newest aged care and retirement living precinct, Blue Care Sunrise Beach, is set to commence in late July with the appointment of privately-owned and local construction group, BADGE, to undertake the works.

Students of Sunshine Beach State High School have had the unique opportunity to step onto a virtual construction site (VCS) today thanks to a collaboration between Blue Care, the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and QUT Lecturer in construction management, Dr Fiona Lamari.

Early works, including prescribed roadwork and intersection upgrades to support delivery of Blue Care Sunrise Beach aged care and retirement living precinct commenced in January 2022 and are now partially complete.

Blue Care is proud to contribute to habitat creation and carbon capture in Noosa biosphere by supporting delivery of the Australian Native Plant Program (ANPP) in partnership with Lendlease.

A weedy three-hectare site within the Girraween Nature Refuge is being transformed, courtesy of a more than $500,000 investment by Blue Care.

Prescribed roadwork and intersection upgrades to support delivery of Blue Care Sunrise Beach will commence this week.
